Dr. Dwyer specializes in orthopedic arthroscopic sports medicine and shoulder and knee surgery. His practice covers all areas of orthopedic medicine, with a personal interest in advanced sports medicine. Dr. Dwyer treats torn rotator cuff and labrum tears in the shoulder and ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and meniscal tears in the knee. He is a master shoulder instructor in advanced surgical techniques.

Thomas A. Dwyer, MD, FAAOS, is an attending faculty member at Rowan University Medical School. He is an integral part of the Orthopedic Residency Program at Inspira Health and recognized for his exceptional leadership and dedication to orthopedic resident education. Dr. Dwyer is honored to be recognized as a Cumberland County Legend 2020 for his unwavering dedication and lifelong commitment to making Cumberland County a better place to live and work.

As a result of Dr. Dwyer having experienced “nearly every sports injury under the sun” himself, he was exposed to a number of great orthopedic doctors, igniting a passion for sports medicine. Through advancements in orthopedic care, Dr. Dwyer uses advanced, less invasive surgical techniques so his patients experience less pain and greater mobility and are able to return to the activities they enjoy with a shorter recovery.
